January 20, 2009 - INRHA Board Meeting:
Attendees:

Kim Bartlett & Corey Wilson via conference call.
Not Present: Cheryl Bluett, Tyler Baumgardt, Randy Fowler
Conference Call began at 7:05 p.m.
Terry O’Brien, for personal reasons, will take a leave of absence for the time being. His position will be temporarily filled by vice-president, Jim Hundley. When Terry can resolve his situation he can come back and complete the remainder of his term.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Cheryl Bluett
OLD BUSINESS
- NRHA rule change. Show Manager must be certified. Certification costs are $150.00. InRHA will cover the cost for Shannon to be certified.
- Deana will still continue to be our web site contact & Show Secretary
NEW BUSINESS
- Shannon will contact Bret Walters and Mindy Truex for possible appointed director’s positions.
- Randy Alderson asked if we would be interested in having an NRHA class at the state show. We opted not to participate due to Non pro and Open being the only classes offered.
- New Novice and Rookie classes. There is Novice horse level 1 & 2. Rookie level 1 $200 & 2 $500. For our Cloverdale shows we opted to drop Green horse/green rider and add Men’s & Ladies. Jackpot Ladies & Men. Fri afternoon & evening paid warm-ups. Suggested to split the $500 added between level 1 & 2, $250, Open & Non-pro. These changes will then keep our cost the same and also fall in line with NRHA new classes so that exhibitors hauling for these classes will still have the same opportunity at our shows.
- Stalls fees were $70 need to check and see if Cloverdale hasn’t gone up, then we will stay at the same fee.
- Potential Judges, Jim Kaiser - TX, April Baker-AZ, proposed fee $400,
