January 14, 2008 - INRHA Board Meeting:
 
Attendees:
Shannon Fowler, Randy Fowler, Deana Neal, Ron Bluett, Cheryl Bluett, Terry O’Brien, Jim Hundley, & Kim Bartlett via conference call
 
Not Present: Tyler Baumgardt
 
Conference Call began at 7:30 p.m.
 
OLD BUSINESS
  • $100 donation to Youth Affiliate Finals was overlooked. Shannon will follow-up to rectify with Tom Lauth
  • Shannon sent letter to Greg Hill about Affiliate membership; InRHA has 3 affiliate finals that are closer to ours; distance becomes factor in participating. Asked for reconsideration of alignment. We work with IL so want to be in same Affiliate region.
  • Open board position not yet officially filled. Ann Barnard & Brose McVey were suggested to filled Miriam Ferrell’s vacancy.
  • Minutes approved by Ron Bluett; seconded by Terry O’Brien.
 
TREASURER’S REPORT: Cheryl Bluett
  • Paid Crossroads deposit. Received $2,000 deposit back from Big Three.
  • Deana needs to switch her Debit card to InRHA debit card.
  • Current balance is $ 4,545.74
 
NEW BUSINESS
Board Vacancy:
  • Ron Bluett motioned to vote to fill the vacancy. Cheryl seconded. Ann Barnard will fill the vacancy.
 
2008 IN Crossroads Reining
  • Sherry Dooley contacted AQHA, Can’t have approved AQHA reining at our show due to conflict in Wilmington OH AQHA show
  • $8150 added money- $2295 for trophies, $500 OPEN FIRST DAY, $1000 SECOND DAY
  • Shannon changed a couple of patterns; stalls are $60 bucks, can we go to $70?
  • Stalls $30/day; $3000 stall fee from facility. Need to find out about coming in early and if they will charge a fee. (min 100 stalls) Shannon will follow-up.
  • $500 a day for arena; $1000 fee (if we don’t sell 100 stalls)
  • Need to find out about RV hookup, hotel to work with, and shavings. Shannon will follow up.
  • Cannot do show without sponsorship; Terry will update sponsorship listing.
  • Fee for class sponsorship undecided
  • Paid warm up vs. ladies & mens; we make the same money with less work so it was decided to have Paid Warm-ups over Mens & Ladies.  
  • Judges: first choice Ed Cridge, Kathy Lopp
 
 
2008 yr end award criteria:
  • -show at least 1 day at Cloverdale
 
MISC:
  • Ann Barnard & Shannon will work on newsletter by the end of the month
  • Shannon & Ron will work on membership drive to others who have shown & trainers
  • Shannon will work on showbill
  • Class sponsorships amount and format need to be decided
